D'Veal Family and Youth Services

D’Veal Family and Youth Services was established in 1993 for the specific
purpose of providing social services throughout Pasadena, Altadena and
the San Gabriel Valley. The agency’s mission is to develop and manage
activity centers for youth residing in "at risk" environments by providing
referral and comprehensive healthcare services including: drug and gang
prevention; transportation; parent education; computer training; and job
training.
D’Veal is committed to establishing and maintaining local community
service centers that provide multi-cultural services in a culturally sensitive
manner and promote the general welfare of the community. Currently, our
community centers employ master level counselors who are trained to
provide individual, group and family therapy; develop specific needs
assessments for children and families; identify specific job training
resources; and monitor job placements. We provide transportation to and
from our program sites and to additional appointments on an as needed
basis. In addition to offering rewards and incentives for participation in
gang and drug prevention courses, we provide job referrals for students
who are excelling or will soon graduate from one of our programs.
D’Veal is optimistic about opportunities for the future and makes every
effort to accomplish its goals through collaborative efforts with other
agencies. Ultimately, D’Veal strives to fulfill its motto,
“Balanced Families, Balanced Children, Balanced Lives.”
